Join a QI project

Joining a Quality Improvement (QI) project can enhance your professional skills and improve patient care. If you're looking to get involved, you might find projects that match your interests and expertise.

Finding the right project

Engaging in a QI project requires a proactive approach. Here are a few strategies to help you get started:

  • Speak to your Line Manager or Supervisor: Discuss your interest in QI projects with them. They can provide guidance on available projects and how you might contribute based on your skills and the department’s needs.
  • Talk with your team: Sometimes, the best opportunities come from within your own team. Discuss with colleagues to learn about ongoing or upcoming projects. This can also foster a collaborative environment where you can share and develop ideas together.
  • Contact your site QI Manager: Each site typically has a designated QI Manager who oversees project activities. Reach out to them to ask about current projects. They can tell you about projects that need additional support. Search ‘Quality Manager’ within the staff directory.
  • Check the QI Project Register: Visit the QI project register on this SharePoint site. You can filter by Primary Service, National Standard, etc. Each listing includes the project lead's contact information, so that you can reach out directly to discuss the project further and explore ways to contribute.
